SriLankan Ground Handling currently is the only ground handler at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Colombo, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is strategically located making it ideal for refueling en-route to South, East, Asia, and Australia coming from the Pacific region and vice-versa.

Transit Hotel
'Serenediva', the transit hotel which is managed and run by SriLankan Catering is located on the 2nd level above the main pier of the arrival/departure area at the Bandaranaike International Airport close to the immigration counters, duty-free shops, cafes, and many of the lounges of the airport.

Lounges
The Serendib Lounge, the only Lounge in the airport which consists of an in-house Spa facility is operated by SriLankan Airlines. It is fully equipped with state of the art equipment and offers a wide range of facilities to business clientele.

Communication Facilities
Telephone booths, both coin-operated and phone card-operated, are in the arrival, departure, and transit areas. Telephone facilities are provided at the arrival and exit areas for incoming passengers. A communications counter is in the transit lounge with International Direct Dialing and Fax facilities.

Medical Facilities
A first-aid center staffed with qualified nurses is in the Arrival Immigration area. Doctors are on call from a nearby hospital to provide preliminary medical care. An ambulance is on standby in the event of a passenger needing further medical attention.
